The Central University of Haryana is one of the fifteen new central universities created by the Government of India’s (GoI) Ministry of Human Resource Development during the XI Five Year Plan (2007–2012) in accordance with the Central University Act–2009 of Parliament.
In the second round of NAAC assessment and accreditation, which took place in August 2023, the university received a “A” grade. The university is ranked in the top 150–200 universities according to the NIRF. The University Grants Commission provides all of the funding for the university (UGC). CUH’s academic operations are conducted from its 484-acre Permanent Campus located in the Mahendergarh district of Haryana’s Jant-Pali Villages. 83 academic programmes (UG/PG/Research) are now offered by the university.
