Situated on an outstanding 300-acre stretch of land in Jaipur, NIMS University, Rajasthan is a comprehensive, self-financed institution with one of the most advanced and world-class campuses. It was founded by Dr. B.S. Tomar and established in March 2008 by the State Government of Rajasthan under The NIMS University Rajasthan, Jaipur Act, 2008. A committee of India’s University Grants Commission (UGC) conducted an inspection of the institution in July 2011 and suggested, subject to a number of compliance issues, that it be awarded State Private University status. The inspection and approval procedure was concluded in October 2014.
