Under the Public Private Partnership (PPP), the Ministry of Education (MoE) of the Government of India established the Indian Institute of Information Technology Vadodara (IIIT V) as an Institute of National Importance. Its goals are to create new knowledge in the field of information technology, supply the information technology industry with workforce that meets international standards, and handle other matters related to or incidental to these institutions. The Gujarat Energy Research and Management Institute, Gujarat State Fertilizers and Chemicals Ltd., the Government of Gujarat, the Government of India, and Tata Consultancy Services are the project’s partners. 2013 saw the founding of the Institute.
